Partner with MMHC to Expand Access to Mental Health Care

We deliver quality, coordinated care to organizations across Minnesota who believe that outcomes and experience matter.

At Minnesota Mental Health Clinics (MMHC), we partner with healthcare providers, community organizations, schools, and systems of care across Minnesota to ensure people can access timely, high-quality mental health services when and where they need them.

We believe outcomes and experience matter, for the individuals you serve and for the partners we work alongside.

Who is Minnesota Mental Health Clinics?

MMHC is a Minnesota-based outpatient mental health provider with more than 40 years of clinician-led care experience.

Founded in Eagan by Dr. Patrick Doyle and now led by John Doyle, we’ve grown to 11 clinic locations, 3 specialty centers, and statewide virtual care — all grounded in evidence-based, compassionate treatment.

We support clients across ages, diagnoses, and levels of care.

Why Organizations Partner with MMHC

Clinician-Founded, Mission-Driven Care

Since 1985, we have built lasting relationships with clients and partners alike, operating through a clinician-first lens and advocate for higher quality mental health delivery across systems.

Coordinated, Multi-Service Model

Because we provide therapy, psychiatry, programs, and case management, referrals stay connected — improving outcomes and reducing fragmentation.

Specialty Care That Fills System Gaps

We help partners access specialized services that are often hard to find, including trauma care, reproductive mental health, diagnostic testing, and higher-acuity group programming.

Reduced Barriers for Clients

Multiple clinic locations and virtual care, same-week appointment availability when possible, many insurance plan accepted (including Medicare and Medicaid), and care navigation support for intake, matching, and scheduling.

Trusted Community Presence

We've served the Twin Cities region for decades and continue expanding to meet statewide needs.

Our Community Engagement Manager, Marilyn Galloway, works with partners in our community to expand access to quality care and key specialty mental health services, from reproductive mental health and trauma care to IOPs, psychiatry, and ADHD/ASD testing.

Meet with Marilyn to chat about your organization’s needs and goals.

Together, we build stronger, healthier communities.

Our priority is to support our community and the clients, students, and members  that we serve on behalf of our valued partners.

Our partnership with Carver County Jail works to expand access to high‑quality psychiatric care for individuals experiencing mental illness during incarceration. Through this collaboration, Dr. Nathan Koranda, DNP, PMHNP-BC, provides on‑site evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and consultation to support stabilization and continuity of care after release.

“My first impression of Carver County Jail was the energy,” said Dr. Koranda. “There’s a genuinely supportive culture here… an organization that truly wants to work together to connect people to meaningful resources, not just medication.”

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to compassionate, evidence‑based care for an underserved population.

Horizons Community Programs

We are dedicated to delivering mental health services that enhance the quality of life for people with psychiatric disabilities and to eliminating the stigma that hinders employment, housing, and social opportunities.

Guided by our mission statement and philosophy, Horizons provides a coordinated service approach that focuses on promoting independence in the community.

Minnesota Mental Health Clinics is committed to providing comprehensive and integrated mental health services that meet the needs of clients, families and the community.

TraumaWise

The Minnesota Mental Health Clinics’ TraumaWise Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a skills-based, accelerated group therapy experience designed to support individuals in understanding and healing from trauma.

The goal is to provide clients with supportive skills that promote resilience and coping with symptoms of trauma.

These skills are designed to be applied both in daily life and within the context of trauma-focused therapy, where they can serve as essential tools for managing emotional intensity and fostering healing during the process of revisiting and processing traumatic experiences.

This is a trauma-informed, attachment-based intensive group therapy program designed to support pregnant and postpartum individuals experiencing mood, anxiety, trauma, or adjustment challenges.

This program integrates evidence-based psychotherapy, somatic regulation, and peer connection to support healing during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting transitions.

The GAPS Initiative embeds perinatal-trained behavioral health clinicians within OB/GYN, fertility, and early family education settings to close the gap between screening and care. By partnering with Minnesota Mental Health Clinics, clinics bring specialized mental health expertise directly to where patients already receive medical support.

How does MMHC support patients?

During the intake process, our Intake Coordinators streamline the intake and assessment process with thoughtful provider matching.

  • Start with an initial assessment: The first 30 to 40 minute virtual visit is with an intake coordinator who will learn about their needs, goals, and preferences.
  • Get matched with the right care: We’ll listen, ask thoughtful questions, and recommend the services, level of care, and provider that best fits their needs.
  • Review the plan and schedule their next visit: The patient will leave with a clear start to their care plan, personalized recommendations, and the next appointment already booked.

We focus on evidence-informed, individualized care plans, with an emphasis on continuity, follow-through, and outcomes, along with flexible collaboration tailored to partner and client needs.

Specialty & Programmatic Care:

Our goal is simple: meet people where they are and connect them to the right level of care quickly.
